History
Starting in 1961 and through 1980, Mom’s simply served great pizza made from a special family recipe in our otherwise traditional take-out pizza stores in the Philadelphia area.
During this time, our founder, Nick Castalucci often took home fresh pizza piled high with fresh toppings to feed his growing family. The family would bake the pizza in their kitchen oven and enjoy it hot and fresh. In 1981, Mom’s founders thought maybe their discerning customers would enjoy pizza at home that was fresh and would be served hot when they were ready, and thus the bake at home revolution was born!
No longer would pizza lovers have to compromise taste and quality in order to have pizza in the comfort of their own homes. No longer would they have to settle for store-baked pizza that was cold and tasted like cardboard by the time it was delivered or they got it home! Now pizza could be enjoyed at home the way it was meant to be: fresh and piping hot, right out of the oven.
Mom’s has grown over the years as a franchised operation, with 10 stores located primarily within the Delaware Valley.
